Country reports Open data

The reports present the current status of Open data policy in Austria, Estonia, France, Ireland, Italy, Romania, and Slovenia, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.
After examining the regulatory sources, the analysis focused on the areas of disclosure of public data, the rules on administrative transparency and legitimacy to request data that has not been published, benchmarking, and, finally, on the existence of an authority to control and sanction in the event of non-compliance.
The reports prove that the rules on open data policies in the public administration are diverse across countries, in particular, when the focus is on open data and public procurement. Significant efforts on implementation need to be done.
